worked out of the box
Worked with no problems, need to be careful with this card as it is not protected and pins can be easily bent but for the price not a bad card

windows 7
tried installing windows 7 with it and it got stuck so i changed the pin in some position then it worked and it ran smoothly (somewhat) for a few days, it always made my computer have a slow start up, i eventually said screw it and turned to an actual sata hard drive which worked better

DOA
This cheap little card failed right outta the box. Tried installing with 3 different brands of optical drives all set to CS or Master on Win Vista machine. None of the drives were recognized and system failed to boot with this card installed. Unfortunatley, my repeated attempts with several drives stressed the little plastic power receptacle guide and cracked it, rendering the item unreturnable so I'm stuck with an item that I cannot use and cannot return. Guess I'll have to spend the money on a SATA drive anyways. This card was a complete waste of time and money.

Cheap but works
Cheaper then other similar products. Took a few minutes to figure out how to connect it properly to the HD. Odd to handle as the board is not covered and i do believe there is reduced performance, however its minor & considering the price, no suprise. Not a bad gadget. Would recommend if you don't mind cheap
