Awesome Laptop

I've had this laptop for over a year. It has not given me any problems what-so-ever. It's still fast by today's standards. I am extremely happy with my purchase. I would buy it again; Especially that it's from ASUS. ASUS is a very reputable company in my experience. I buy all my components made by ASUS whenever possible. The only thing is that it is advertised as having a 1080p display when in fact it's an HD+ display with resolution of 1600x900.

The value beast

This machine is a beast for the buck. Loving this machine. The anti slip rubber coating is nice. They keyboard is smooth. Decent sound for a laptop. Never used Windows 8 and I have no problem getting used to it. Glad its not a touchscreen. Plays games very smoothly. Adobe runs fast. Huge display. So far Im very pleased I just have to keep my wife from stealing it every night.

By far the best laptop I have ever owned

This baby is everything I dreamed it would be. Amazingly fast! I built my desktop a few years ago with very similar components, including an i7, and it was fast! After time goes by, computers slow down. The ASUS now outperforms my desktop which I wasn't quite expecting that to happen. I am not a gamer, but I create videos (for fun) and use Photoshop and Dreamweaver for work (and fun, too). It still amazes me when I think how well the ASUS performs when using multiple Adobe products at the same time. You would think they were nothing more than multiple notepad files open at the same time. When working with videos, I have not yet experienced a GPU freeze or stutter. Rendering is fast and very painless. You cannot go wrong with this computer. Sure, it costs more than the average system but it is worth every penny. I don't think I can ever step down now. That would be like trading in a Ferrari for a Ford Taurus.

ASUS Laptops are poor quality

Bought an ASUS ROG laptop...Had issues with over heating with thermal shutdown. RMA once, told me it was fixed, 3 months later I had the same problem. Tried to RMA again, was told warranty was expired. I had to pay a repair shop to get the problem fixed. Not worth the headache.

Exactly what I needed, but not for everyone

This is a powerful gaming system, but it is heavy and bulky, and battery life is only about 3 hours in active use. Think of it as a folding all-in-one desktop rather than a notebook. I love it so far, but size and weight were not priorities for me.
