I ordered this MB/CPU bundle after a Patriot Ram issue killed my other one, Installed this MB/CPU into my case, that has 800w PS. Installed 4-Crucial 1gb, 240pin DDR2 pc2-6400...all I can say is this system ROCKS..I have V1 Cooler..and MB runs at 35'C..while CPU runs 35'C idle...42'C under full load, MB still runs cooler at full load at 37'C

I've did four build outs using this board and they work great using the correct memory, 2 GB, Dual Channel DDR2 800 MHz. Using a 2nd generation 3G Burst SATA HD made this a screamer. One I used for my MC PC and only had to plug in the HDMI cable to HDTV for fantastic video. Playing a media file on a big screen gives it new life. Having 7.1 would have made this a five all the way but they didn't think outside the box. I don't think it would work well for gaming unless you add your own PCIe x 16 video card (read the manual, it supports it!) Stable board with Windows or Linux. TX Sysop

Ok, I spent most of mine time trying to tweek this board trying to get rid of the choppy running issue and has it choosy choice on what brand memory you use in order to get it working properly. I went to manufactures site to see why it was running choppy,I never seen so many complaints about the issue. Honestly I like Asus and every PC(6) in my house has the brand this is the first time I ever had problems with their board. If you want the headaches and time consuming project this is your board.

Very important note - only install one stick of RAM initially, boot system and configure RAM voltage *manually* in the Jumperless settings. DO NOT USE AUTO for DDR RAM voltage as it doesn't work right and will leave you thinking the system or RAM is bad when it isn't. Check the voltage specs for your RAM before installing and be ready with that information. ALSO UPDATE THE BIOS for more/better RAM support (though AUTO still does not work properly in most cases). Other than those issues, decent board for the cost. Great when paired with a nice processor. Video is not the fastest, but fast enough for most (non-gamer) users. Great for HTPC (home theatre pc)
