this drive
I am a local producer in dallas texas I bought this drive to back up my music had the drive for a month and it wouldn't turn on so i took it apart and plugged to a source that worked ran for about 5 months after drive started clicking hard drive sucks real bad

Contains a RECERTIFIED WD drive!!
We bought this harddrive a few years ago, used it a couple of times for manual big backups. Now, for the past 10 months or so have had it running on my mac doing timemachine backups. Was working great, but now suddenly couldn't be found by my mac, or when I plugged it into a PC. Power is on, but it does not spin. I opened it up, since it is well out of warranty, and found it has a refurbished WD Caviar drive in it!! I was a little surprised by that, don't remember anything in the sales pitch. I'm not very pleased considering it has only about 10 months of steady use on it.

Not so good
Ran for about a year then stopped. Less than 40 hours powered up during that time.

I've been using this for over a year, and it's been worth every penny. And I didn't give that many pennies to get it. Buy this! It's quality is... well... quality.

I bought this drive My 14, 2007. It is now Dec 22, 2007 and the drive will not turn on. www.beyondmicro.com does not work and 1-800-201-3936 rings to a fax machine. All of my files have been backed up on this drive so now I am faced with trying to find a data recovery service. But if I break the seal on the drive, it null and voids the warranty. DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVE IF YOU VALUE YOUR DATA!!!!
