G4techTV's daily live technology and entertainment show, "The Screen Savers," will feature the live on-air event Friday, December 10. TigerDirect and The Screen Savers are partnering to produce this televised event for charity, which will benefit non-profit organizations with cash donations and complete high-end computer systems.
The "TigerDirect.com Celebrity Charity PC Race" will feature three teams of contestants headed by celebrity guests and their selected charities. Each team will race to assemble a functional PC from disassembled components. All contestants walk away with their newly functional PC, which will be donated to their charity of choice. In addition to the assembled PC, a $2,500 cash donation will be awarded to the charity of the winning team.
