The hardware is quite good. Although the lack of video driver support is a scandal.
However, GOS is just a wast of Time. Selling it with of the shelf Mandriva is faster, more stable, and has all the necessary elements installed. Ubuntu is also better, but is even slower than Gos. I wonder how fast it would be on the eePC Os.
I transformed it to a file/multimedia server for the home network, with some light browsing added to it.

This computer should only be bought for someone that is only going to use their machine for really light surfing, emailing, and not expecting lightning speeds. What they don't tell you is that it only accepts an ethernet connection. If you think you're going to load a wireless adapter, think again. It's not impossible, but very hard. Go to madwifi.org to get drivers for a Linux OS, and make sure your wifi adapter has an Atheros chipset. Only way to do it, but enabling your drivers will test the best Linux users. Not enough Linux people out there troubleshooting the gOS system to get the bugs out. Better chance loading another Linux OS. Good luck.

GREAT VALUE! Quietest machine I've ever bought --don't even know it's on! The gOS has bling, but not my style or familiar functionality (Mac OS X users might like it, though). I reformatted and installed the normal Ubuntu Linux OS and couldn't be happier! I set it up for an older couple making the switch from Windows 98, and this is much easier for them to learn than the clunky Vista. Comes with a PCI modem, but the mobo (or OS) can't find it or any other modem I put in. Only fix is an external modem if you want to use dial-up. But the on-board ethernet jack works great for high speed internet users. Highly recommend if you want a power saving, money saving, basic system and don't mind installing Ubuntu Linux.

Great value. Only problem I had was I didn't want the OS installed on it so I reformatted and installed XP. XP didn't recognize the audio, video or dial up modem. Tech will not help you on this if you change the OS. Took me awhile to locate the drivers online but I finally did.
