Vantec's Efficient Aluminum Hard Drive Cooler
Since the introduction of 7200 RPM hard drives, passive cooling for HDDs were no longer sufficient. As with any computer component, a hard drive can only perform reliably if it is kept within its specified operating temperatures - the cooler the hard drive, the more efficiently it can perform. As the spindle motors inside the drive spin, the temperature of the hard drive rises dramatically, often leading to read errors, reduced life cycles, and even loss of data should the temperature surpass the heat threshold.

Keep Your COOL !
Been running this about 6 months now. Not 1 problem. Very Quite. I also had to bend a few tabs back in my hard drive support rack to make it fit, but well worth the effort. Keeps drive between 30-35C and I never turn off my desktop.

Hard drive cooler... great product!
Took maybe 20 minutes to fit and connect. Maintains hard drive at 30c... and that running all day long. Quiet too!! Recommend to anybody

Can't Go Wrong With This
I installed this into my Gateway DX4822 needed to bend some of the tabs back that support the harddrive so it would fit back into the drive box. Once installed works like a charm, very slight fan noise not really noticeable.
