Does the job

I needed to use one keyboard with two computers and this switch does the job. There is a slight delay when you switch from one to the other but otherwise is exactly what I needed at a reasonable price.

Great product !

One hidden good point that is not mantionned is that when you power on only one of the 2 computers connected to this unit, it automaticly switches the shared scanner or printer to this computer.

Works Great

I had difficulty finding a product like this. It resolved a problem of connecting two computers, my husband's and mine, to one printer. It works exactly as described. Installation was very simple; just plug in three USB cables. It required an additional USB cable which was not included.

Great Deal for the Money

This is a great product and works as advertised. Just plug and play. This switch resolved a problem of not being able to share a scanner over a home network consisting of a desktop and a laptop. Scanning required a non-network direct connection to each PC. Now my wife is happy (she uses the Laptop) since she can use the scanner without having to ask for my assistance.

Works great, no software, just plug and play. Using it to share an All in One printer between two computers. About two second switching delay that other reviewers have mentioned. The two second switching delay comes from circuit switching or soft switching. This is to protect the usb port from being short circuited and damaging the computers motherboard.

after owning a 4x4 Belkin (old 1.1 speeds), this unit worked as promised! a 4 input USB hub on the front end allows me to share 2 printers and 1 harddrive with another computer -- a 7 input hub on the computer side allows just that computer to have all of my other connections (Ipod cable, scanner, USB mouse, etc.) As the other reviewers noted, make sure to have the necessary cables AND keep in mind that not all devices will work (I couldn't get a self-powered WD Passport HDD to work)..... Worth every penny....

I have several of these, in different locations, home, office, shop, ranch. Computer #1 positions are desktops, and the #2 positions are used for my laptops. They work really well. If you need to hook up more than one peripheral, simply hook up a usb port hub, one or more, daisy chained. There is a slight 1 or 2 second delay when switching from computer 1 to 2, but that hasn't been a problem for me. I simply go to one of these, plug in a usb cable, push the switch and use any of the peripherals I choose. These are worth every penny I paid for them.

This great switch enabled me to hook two computers up to a USB hub to share USB devices such as printer, scanner, etc. Easily installed and used with no problems..

very nice USB switch that has been working like a champ it's more like a 4.5 star product only thing that keeps it from a 5 *for me* is that there is a small 2ish second lag when switching between devices and you have to remember to get a few USB AtoB type cables if you don't already have them :)...out side of that it's a nice little device that alows me to work off of two computers with one keyboard and mouse...another thing that works well is that I use a few programs that require a dongle and so far have no problems switching while working with those programs...having the one exporting and switching back to the other for a little photoshop and then back again *just a little example :)*
