Does not work
The product did not work with windows XP Pro service pack 3. After installation it corrupted the desktop Icons and menu bar. Was told by manufacture that I needed an adapter with a prolific chipset. As this type and others are of another chipset.

Driving telescope equipment
This device is driving two serial devices - a filter wheel and a focuser - in an astronomical observatory. Installed easily, working fine, no problems.

Works well
Purchased this to run a commercial GPS tracker on a new PC that did not come with COM ports. Product installed without a hitch (and without needing drivers) on Windows Vista. Vista recognized and installed drivers without problems. The built-in drivers were very configurable and allowed the product to be tailored precisely to the GPS software's expectations for a legacy COM port. Could not have asked for a better solution for replacing legacy COM ports.

I bought a new hp Desktop and Laptop without realizing they have no serial port. Bought this product and it solved the problem. Installed on XP. Installation was simple and it works flawlessly. Pretty ''smart'' so you dont do needless config details. Recommend unconditionally.
