Works just fine!
I have been using this on an Asus X53e for 6 weeks and it works as advertised. Only issue is that it is light weight and when all the cables are plugged in it has a tendency to tip over. But I can live with that. Also I think it is a bit pricy for what you're getting, but when I ordered, it was the only one like it I could find.

Happy with it overall -- only one issue
Overall the replicator works well. The only issue I have and am still trying to solve is why the internet modem connector won't work. I still have to plug my CAT-5 connection directly into my laptop

Good Alternative
This is a pretty simple to use device. Install drivers and go. It makes it simple to use your laptop as a workstation and keep it portable as well. comes with all you need in the box. I felt the price was a little steep however, maybe $50 tops. Either way I am happy.
