Good Storage for price
I do a lot of video editing so needed a large drive to backup on to. Partioned into two 1.5 TB drives. Works perfectly. I gave a 3 for value since it does not include the cable to attach to the motherboard. Had to spend addtional money and shipping to get one. Oh well.

Exactly what I needed
This product is recommended by Buffalo for their Linkstation Pro Duo and it provides massive storage (6 TBytes for this unit) for my NAS needs.

The baby rocks.
I needed a large drive for storage (not for OS or programs) and one that would spin down when not in use. this works great, Initializing took two tries, but that was my bad, I was in a hurry and let the drive be partitioned, instead of a single volume. More a windows 8 thing.

Great drive and works with just about ALL computer
I have put these drives in machines ranging from an old Socket 478 P4 machine on up to a Brand new I7 machine, and it works in every one of them. Just know the FACTS before ordering. You can't use in with Windows XP 32 bit, you can't use it to boot from in Windows 7 (64 bit) if you have a BIOS system instead of uEFI and still use all 3TB and cant boot from it at all on Windows 7 32 bit. The easiest and best support for this drive is with Linux. It's a snap to format in Linux, since it has much better support than Windows systems do for GUID (GPT) partition tables and 4k sectors. In Linux, you can boot from it and use all 3TB even on 32 bit systems.
