Qsee QS206 Do not buy
If you really want a unit with cheap connections and a horrible interface where you cannot control the PTZ speed when zoomed in buy this unit. If you want a cheap remote control and mouse that will drive you insane to move and select things buy this unit. If you want a unit that it will take 6 screws down from 8 screws from a previous model to put in the hard drive buy this unit. I give this unit a F+ the plus is becuase it looks nice.

Faulty cameras
Connected system and had problems with cameras. After swapping them back and forth, finally got six of the eight cameras to work. aresolution adequate, but not hte best. Will look for higher quality for future applications.

QS-206 not the best
The QS-206 DVR is somewhat disappointing. The video quality is limited to CIF, which means the compression is high and quality is low. Other DVRs offer D1 recording, which is much better. If all you want is to see that something is there, then this one is OK. If you want to recognize faces, or read license plate numbers, then forget about this one. Better (CCD) cameras would be a waste with this DVR. 16 channels are nice, and some features are good, but the interface is clunky and it is cumbersome to view a series of recordings. You have to watch one, then go back to the menu to select the next video. It would be better if you could just click on the next video from a list that stays on screen, or click on a NEXT button to watch the next video. You can't do that with this interface.

Nice unit, works well
This fantastic bargain for a 16 Channel DVR. The quality was nice and has a lot of features of the higher-end DVR's.
