Great System!
Add my name to the list of satisfied customers for this system. Easy to set up, thunderous bass (had to turn it down a bit) and overall great sound. Build quality looks good and Yamaha has a good rep. Only minor rash was with the small gauge speaker wire (18?). I would have gone with 16 myself. Kudos overall, though. Thanks, guys! Grrrrr...

Great Start-up stereo
I have this stereo in a 20' x 13' room, and it fills the room nicely with excellent sound. The Subwoofer appears to be oversized for the wattage that is output to the speakers, but the subwoofer has its own volume control, so it is easy to turn it down. Overall, this was the best system I could find in this price range. The receiver has more inputs than I could ever use. (big +1) I still need to adjust the surround sound, but I am waiting for my speaker mounts to arrive.

Everything I expected
I researched many units and once again Yamaha proved to deliver the best value for the money. This unit is powerful. My room is 15x25 and it only needs to run at low levels to satisfy. I set it up in minutes and adjusted every speaker in minutes and it just works without flaw.
