Great but not as durable as expected

This is a great product, but, after two years of use, the 0 and 9 keys no longer work. It still has a good, long battery life, but its beam seems weaker (there are more times when it doesn't 'hit' the entertainment system). It is easy to use and setup and so handy in a dark room. It even handles all the vagaries of our cobbled together system. So I do recommend it, just wish that the keys weren't already shot because it is a lot of money for the product to fail. Still, we are planning on buying another one and hope that it will be sturdier.

I recently purchased this Logitech Harmony remote to replace a similar model that was about 3 years old but of poor quality. The 5 on the keypad stopped working after a year and finally the volume control gave out. The new one seems to be of better quality and I like the backlight feature (if you move the remote the backlight will come on - great in the dark). The setup was easy as the site let me load all of my current devices without re-entering information. If a device does not come on, pressing ''Help'' seems to figure out the issue and self correct. Overall I like the remote but am concerned about the quality. We'll see.

Works As Advertised

I'm sixty years old, only have average skills with all of these electronics and am not always the sharpest hoe in the shed when it comes to working with this stuff. Having said that this remote is absolutely excellent. Setup was easy and eight remotes are now history. The touchscreen is great, the ''help'' on the remote works well and there isn't a command (specialized or otherwise) that I cant execute with it. Better yet, it works for my wife! My old Harmony remote now operates a smaller system in the house. Great product.

Don't mess with your compent's ''Smart'' remotes

Absolutely amazing. After ''teaching'' one of my ''Smart Remotes'' and then having to keep all 6 of them around for those ''special'' commands, I finally threw in the towel and bought this Logitech!! WOW. It took me about 45 minutes to set up TV, AVR, Cable Box, Blu Ray, CD and VCR (Yes even a VCR). Things happen with the touch of a single button. I am doing EVERYTHING with s single remote (FINALLY) and there are functions that I have not even attempted yet. If you can read, write, run a mouse and have a USB port on your computer don't wait any longer!!!

It works ok

I use it and it has replaced my remotes. It was easy to figure it all out. You can even download jpg images of the stations you like, very cool. 2 drawbacks 1) turning on off 3 things at one time rarely works. you always have to hit the help button and tell it something is still on then it finally finds the code. after a month of using it still can't get into sync. 2) going up and down through the on screen guide in the cable box , it seems to always hit a 3-5 sec delay then it keeps going.

Great Product

After ordering, find you electronic information, while you wait for it to be delivered. Give it a full charge, install software. Take you time answering the questions and it should be smooth sailing. Good product, warranty could be longer.

One of the best peripherals I have purchased

I had put off buying a universal remote in spite of people recommending it to me. I stayed with my 4 remotes as I thought it was more flexible for controlling my system. Meanwhile, no one else in the house could run our entertainment system. But finally I invested. It programs like a dream (but you must have a computer) and after that, sit back and enjoy. I LOVE LOGITECH STUFF!

great remote

This remote was super simple to setup - just load software, select devices from list, select powerup sequence and wala! Worked first time and we are not rocket scientists. I would recommend this to anyone that does not want 5 remotes cluttering up space (or can't figure out how to run stupid tv with so many remotes :)

Good remote but questions of quality

I have had the remote for a week now. I am impressed at this point. I programmed this remote in about 15 minutes and you can to as long as you know computers and have a little electronics knowlege. The remote operates everything I have and turns everything I have on with a simple push of the touch screen like watch tv or watch DVD. It works great and has everything the original remote has. The question I have is the quality. The remote I got from Verizon looks and feels more heavy duty and seems built to last. This remote just doesn't feel it and I am very afraid of dropping it. The recharging ability is great but I have been using it and playing with it allot so the battery may last for a day but I think it will last longer once I am finished with playing with it.I like the remote and recommend it for controlling all your items you have. Simplified my life

Easy to set up and use. Impressed with the ease of use and if needed, the ability to correct a non responding device (remote not pointed in the direction of the devices).
