Worked for a month then fails to connect

Worked when I got it. Good quality video. Choose either the web interface or the software to make changes. No real instructions. Now will fail to connect to the camera. Camera will work for a few hours after a reboot but will exhibit the same problem again. Wish it was still within warranty.

Too flaky to be useful

I bought this to be a cheap baby monitor. The camera was easy to setup. However, the web interface on the camera was not intuitive and very slow. Any changes were painful because of how slow the admin page was. Also, the main reason I got this was for the audio which I could not get to work. I ended up returning it and getting a Foscam FI8918W, which has been awesome.

Very happy

Hired a nanny for the kids and needed a camera so wife could check in on them from work. Bought this camera based on other reviews and was not disappointed. Didn't think that 1MP can have such good quality video. The setup was very easy and CD came with video tutorials. Had some problem with viewing the camera remotely but Asante tech support helped me fix it quickly. Very happy with product and support. Best bang for the buck in my opinion.

Best Value For A Wireless

Best choice for a wireless camera! After spending several hours with the technician at Asante trying to get my D-Link router to co-operate, he got the camera up and running and it's fantastic. Make sure your computer is always on, the Asante software needs to keep running aslo in order to view video feed and have the camera send you email alerts.

Could Be Better

The only low score I have for this unit is it's poor ability to retain the wireless IP address assigned to it. I have 3 of these cameras and have had to reset each at least once. Also after an extended power outage approx 8-10 hours none of the units remained visible to my router. I have an older D-Link camera with none of these issues.

Not Reliable

I wanted to try this unit out based on good reviews. Easy setup and good image quality. Constantly losing communication even within 20 feet of wireless N router(through floor). I will try some other settings and see if reception improves.

Nice camera easy to set up if you have trouble with set up tech. support is great i would recmmend this camera!

Great product when it works

I bought two of these cameras for the front and back. Both cameras worked fine for a couple of days and then I got the message could not connect.I unplugged them for a minute and plugged them in and they both connected. Now sometimes they connect.I plugged one in two feet from the router and it took five minutes to connect.I have no clue how to update them with no download link. The front door camera is located twenty feet from the router and the back door camera is fifteen from the router.I changed the channel on the router and raised it up higher. All my other wireless devices work fine. This is a great product when it works. I am going to contact support this week.

Nice system all in one

: I have five asante camera (3 Voyager I with Smartbot Software and 2 Voyager II) I Love all five cameras because I have all five on my Ipad, Computer laptop and cell phone. These are beautiful cameras and I love the easyness of sitting them up on all of my devices. My problem is with the Voyager II. The smartbot software comes on the voyager I and it is great software. Will the smartbot software ever be available on the Voyager II?? When I record and monitor with my three Voyager I's it is very easy and probably the best software on the market.

Outdoor is needed - great

My school has tried several cameras and the Voyager is superior to all of them when it comes to picture quality. Please make an outdoor version.
