Nice Quality, inexpensively priced.

I had been using this version of the sansa fuze player, in black, for about a year, when it was stolen out of my vehicle. After the initial charging issues, (I also had to use an external power source not connected to the computer for the first charge) it was all smooth sailing. I found the quality of the product to be nice, and with the update sansa did so that you could lock the device with the power button instead of some elaborate swiping motion that never seemed to work, I had no issues putting it in my pocket. Long story slightly shorter, I'm ordering another of the same, since someone else is now enjoying my sansa fuze plus instead.

Very good product when everything works

I have been impressed with the FUZE PLUS, the sound quality is great. Getting around in from one area to another takes some practice but once you get the routine down it's not a problem. The one I have - so far I have not been able to lock it and that has been a problem for me when I put in my pants pocket. I can get around that but still that one thing is a thorn!

not worth the price

I have an older Sansa Fuze that has worked great. Unfortunately, I have purchased 2 of the Sanza Fuze + (refurbished) with both failing to charge. I would not recommend the refurbished items at all.

Nice Player, Good Value

I have an older Fuze and bought this for my wife. I found the player to be confusing to operate but ony because it has more features and options. Print out the manual and Read It. I had a operational problem initally but just deleted everything and reloaded and it worked fine. I too found the screen to be touchy but I guess I just need to get use to it. I had a problem with a play feature, contacted sansa support, they were very helpful and I can now operate the player the way I want to. We do not use our players everyday and did not want to sink hundreds of dollars into the big name player. The fuze works great and has all the features we needed. The FM Radio is also nice to have.

nice mp3 player but poor refurbish

was sent with a dead battery, and the usb cable sent with the unit did not work with it at all. tried my smart phone cable and finally got it to recognize and charge on my computer, after that had some issues with how touchy the contriols are on the unit but otherwise was fine. does not work well with itunes, you have to download your songs to your computer, move them to a seperate file on it and then the mp3 player will convert them and download them. it takes a little more to get it to work but overall not bad, just wish that the refirb job was a bit better as i expect more from it.

Battery wouldn't charge after 1st use

Received the player with battery at 50%, installed all the software and updated it and left it plugged in to fully charge so I could wrap it up as it was to be a xmas present. The next morning I unplugged it and tested it and while the interface is very clumsy it worked fine. Tried to power it on 24hrs later and it wouldn't turn on. As indicated by another review here I tried to plug it in to an external micro usb power source which did turn the player on but it still wouldn't hold a charge.

Confused at first, but nice

When I first received this, I tried to power it on, which it didn't. I connected it to my PC USB port (running Windows 7), and Win7 stated the battery was critical. Left it connected all day, and it still indicated critical. I thought I'd have to return it. I decided to try to use an external AC USB charger and it breathed to life. Within 20 minutes, the display came on and indicated a firmware update succeeded, the battery started to charge, and I was thumbing through the menu. It's a nice device, but the interface is a little clumsy. I think the interface for the original Fuze was the best. If you have issues charging your device, try an AC USB charger, such as one from Arista.

touchy device

Having owned a Sanza Fuze previously (left it on an airplane) I was certain that I wanted to get another. However the Sanza Fuze plus is just too touchy. That is, the navigation area is very sensitive and it's difficult to handle it without makingit go to the 'next' or 'previous' song (or podcast, in my case). Additionally, when you then want to go back to the one you accidentally left, it goes back to the beginning, not to the place where you left off. Further, the locking device is also a touch area and you have to use a sweep motion to unlock. Again, too touchy if it's in your pocket, or your trying to unlock it while you're driving! Finally, when you turn the player on, it always starts on 'pause' instead of just playing. That means that you have to turn it on, and stand there and wait until it loads up, then hit 'play.' Honestly! If I turn it on, don't you think I want to actually play something? There's more, but I'm out of room.
