I bought two TEG-PCITXR cards along with a TRENDnet wireless-N router and a Gigabit NAS enclosure. Replacing my home router and add the NAS device went with no problems, and the on-board NICs in my two desktops connected as 100mbps. Added the two PCI cards to my desktop machines and both came up running only 10mbps instead of 1000mbps.
Support was helpful in trying to make them work, but no go. Router showed orange, signifying Gb, and it didn't matter if I used auto-negotiation of speed or forced it to 1000mbps, neither worked with a 10ft, 20ft, or 50ft 5e cable.
Best I could do was force 100mbps, which was the same as my on board cards. They are going back tomorrow.
I've had no problems with a TRENDnet Print Server (PS21), and the N-router appears to work (Netbook connects at 150mbps). |

Plugged this card into two Linux servers, plugged them in, assigned IP addresses and they were up and running. I expected to have some difficulty but these truly worked right out of the box without muss or fuss. For the price I figured even if they didn't work great I wasn't out anything. They surpassed everything I expected! |

After running some CAT-6 wires, I plugged this card into a Gigabit switch. It is fast and worked from the start. |
