Completely Dead after 2 years of mild use

Unit completely died after only two years and the manufacture will not replace the unit because I did not fill out the warranty card - even through I have the original box, invoice, packing slip, and paperwork.

Great product

This device was exactly what I wanted.

Could Improve Design

The push-button illuminated switch is easily broken and the transparent push button purple plastic needs reinforcement at its fulcrum or latch point. An indicator of the remaining energy in the battery or at least a voltmeter display needs to be added.

Great Budget UPS

Easy to set up -- has software to monitor line conditions with a dashboard - and automatically shut down server after failure of power. Only drawback is no report window on unit. for an extra $50 you can buy a unit with one

Xfinity 1000

Easy to install, Easy to use, not very dependable, only atached to an 8 watt flourescent light, will run it for less than 3 minutes on power failure, which we have had twice since installing. I have not tried to contact manufacturer yet.

Works great

I odered this item just prior to Hurrican Issac, luckily I didn't need it but it works great! It's quiet, and easy to set up.

ultra ups 1000va

I recently ordered one of these units for costomers wizard mat cutter and computer. The first unit failed which was thier other moddle 2000va then replaced it with this unit working fine Ultra products have been good for me over the yeears. these units do have some weight and handling thru UPS shipping may cause a problem being bangned around. but do get them registered asap

Hey what can you say about a UPS. Either it works or not. The units works fine. Sets up quickly, and so far no issues. Keeping fingers crossed! Good value for what it is

Advertised to work with Linux

After unpacking the package, I found that it only had an off and on switch and no other status indicators. Also, there seems to be a shortage of protected AC outlets. I tried to install the CD with the Linux UPS software. The computer failed to read it. I then resorted to use an external USB BluRay burner. Again, the computer refused to read the software. So I have no control Linux software in the computer that needs it. Finally got Windows version to run. The software seems to be quite aged, it supports all the way back to Windows95. No visible updates seem to exist. Then proceeded to load the software on another computer. Both Windows and Linux drivers loaded up. Windows installed itself, however, Linux was so badly written that I found it impossible to follow the directions, and failed to install it. The importer of the UPS (made in China) was unable to help me, although they tried. They were not well equipped to solve the problem.

At first smelled like burnt electronics, now better - tested unit and it worked according to specs
