burning a file to a dvd disk
I have had the software for some time now and am yet able to burn picture files to a dvd disk. It could be windows 8. But, I have not given up on it as of yet.

Not a STAR
I only got it because it was on sale and I wanted to copy a movie. It wouldn't copy the only movie I tried. I did not try any other features.

Product more than lives up to expectations
Although the software does have some issues with soundtrack alignment, during dead screen(black screen), it converts and copies about 98% of the DVD's and Blue Ray's out there. With the right decryption, it will convert 99.999% of them. However, in comparison to some freeware, it is slow (ie, can take up to 8 hours to convert a 2.5hr blue-ray movie), but it is completely automated, so you can start it and walk away. At $60, it is slightly pricey, but you can reguarly find it for $40, or $30, or occasionally $19.99. I would recommend it to the average consumer, who just wants backup and digital copies of their movies, but is not highly technical. It has features for the more advanced folks as well, but given that audience, they will want to check those out for themselves anyway. I would give this an overall of 4 out of 5 stars.
