Good Value

Easy to install, number ported in about 10 days. Nettalk has instituted a charge now for porting. Works well, wife says sound is better than AT&T. My brother has used Nettalk for over a year with no issues. We are both using a recommended router (Netgear Wnr2000.

Worth it.

I've had this for 1 year now and like it. The sound quality is always good. The only negative is that sometimes when I dial a number it doesn't fo through so I have to hang up and then hit redial on the phone and it goes through the 2nd try. Seems to be some software glitches that they could work out and hopefully they will in the future. I was paying AT&T $25 a month for my phone and now pay $35 (INCLUDING TAXES) for a whole year. Use it to fax once in a while and no problems except for the having to dial twice sometimes. Just renewed my 2nd year though. It's worth it. We mostly use our cell phones. They make it easy to block certain phone numbers form annoying telemarketers also from the caller ID feature it includes.

Mostly Works

I have been using this for over one year now. If this were my only phone line it would not be reliable enough. Call quality is often poor and I have to restart the device every month or so. However, for a second line or one that you use occasionally, it is fine. I do have it on a UPS along with my modem so even if the power goes out I am OK.

Great product; I'm impressed

Works great as advertised. I've had it for 1 week and so far so good. Call quality is great;better than my previous U-verse VoIP. My DUO is connected to U-verse modemn. I have about 17mb-DL and 2mb-UP. Porting from my old number only took 10 days after activating DUO. I definitely recommend it and I am planning on buying another.

Not worth a anything, sound quality is poor

I've tried everything to clear up the delay and poor sound quality on this unit. Service department is less than helpful. I attempted to forward directly to my cell phone, and land lines (residential and business). Same extremely poor sound quality and large delay's. The delay you hear is reminiscent of talking to someone in India. Since I have tried this unit at multiple physical locations and forwarding to multiple different lines and the results are the same, I can only conclude that the issue resides in the NetTALK server. Save your money, don't buy this brand (I'm guessing they'll all use the same server ).

Doesn't deliver

I ha high hopes, because of all reviews, but no... Installation was a bust. Took many many hours of aggrevation before it actually functioned. And it was useless. Most of the time, I could hear my own voice 5 seconds after I spoke. REALY ANNOYING. Calls dropped and reception was poor.

Works Pretty Well, Easy to Set-up

Very easy to set-up via registering the device on their website, selecting a telphone number exchange in your area, waiting a few minutes, then connecting to router port. It does the rest. It does have some voice quality issues from time-to-time during a call. It tends to clip off some of the words at the beginning and end of speaking depending on your connection speed and latency. It also requires that you dial all 10 digits of the telephone number you are calling, even if it is a local phone number. But all-in-all very useable and can't beat the price.

Just got one for my mother-in-law. She loves it!

I have mine for two years and its been working great in the states. Tried it oversea in Malaysia but poor performance. Unable to get good connection. So gave up on that. Have not tried on other vacations. Otherwise, great value, work great in the states. Just like regular land line. Just bought another one for my mother-in-law. She was surprise how well it works. It's clear and much easier to hear the other end. she even have to turn down the volume a little because it's so loud compare to her old land line.

Very bad product

I decided to use nettalk duo which is 29.95 a year and I could get a local number and you didn't have to keep your computer on at all times. But the call quality was only good part of the time at others times you couldn't hear the other party as it would break up badly and at other times you couldn't even call out or in.
