Great value for the product
I was hasitating while ordering this product because I had some unpleasant experience with Philips product. I bought it mainly based on others' review and I'm happy I made the right choice. great sound. as others pointed out, FM radio reception is good. alarms work well especially the weekday and weekend setting that is missing from my other alarms.

Great value
The bang for the buck on this radio is great. I use it as a spare radio in a workout room: it docks easily with the iphone4, FM reception is very good, and it has very good sound volume & fidelity. I have not used the alarm functions or hooked up other components yet. And once the iphone5 muscles the old iphones out the compatability will obviously suffer. But for now I am very, very happy with the cost, value, and function. I highly recommend (unless you are upgrading your phone in the very near future...).

Decent Value
At the Refurb price the unit is a good value. It has a lot of nice features and a full rich sound. The bass is pretty impressive for such a modest sized unit.

Good but not great
This is good value at the refurb price. Wouldn't have wanted to pay full retail. As another reviewer has noted, set up is NOT intuitive and the instructions are very bad. Push buttons until something works is the only way to do it! Sound is fair. Time screen is unreadable at 45 degrees from dead on. I can't read it from bed at all without sitting up. But, would I buy it again? Yes. My primary use is the radio and sleep timer.
