Works but at a cost

The software appears to protect against software threats, however, my Microsoft virus checker products had to be disable.

Good combination of security, backup and price

Have had the prior year version for over eleven months with no problems on Vista Home Premium 64bit operating system. Included file backup feature works well and continuously to provide peace of mind for important files in the safe sync folder. Bought the 5 computer version to allow protection and backup for multiple computers for about 10 dollars each.

Great product

Has caught infected emails and links to problem internet sites real time. Also deletes cookies that are getting information from your computer. I have had Trend Micro for 5 years. Only complaint would be great if it could smart sense when to download updates to work around while I busy at the keyboard doing something. Dead time would be great.

Been using Trend Micro for a few years. Like the 5 devices option, always seemed to have more devices than allowed installations. Don't seem to get a lot of malware attempts on my computer, but Trend Micro appears to catch them all (so far!). Easy to install and uses very little resources. Very Happy

Great deal for sure

The price is great and so worth every penny. I had trend micro last year on my older p.c. with xp and I knew it was good.

One of the best

I've used this for years. possibly as far back as 1990's even so i only have copies back to 2008. Even support Tech's use and recommend this, but as all software goes it has its problems and glitches. Originally I started using this because it was not popular and it had features other companies did not offer. Today you can buy this with multipule user(5). Works on PC's, Android Phones & Tablets. Unfair competition

As I'm not a security expert I can't rate the product based on its effectiveness in stopping malware. What I do know, as a user, is that this product uses FUD (fear, uncertainty and doubt) to unfairly compete with other vendors. During installation it claimed that both MalwareBytes and Spybot Search & Destroy would create conflicts with Trend Micro and forced me to remove them and reboot twice. A very annoying experience. The fact of the matter is that there is no conflict at all as I installed Spybot S&D and Malwarebytes again after installing TM and everything works fine. If I had to choose between TM and Spybot S&D I'd keep Spybot and ditch Trend Micro. On the upside their online chat support technician was helpful in explaining how I was supposed to completely remove the previous version of TM in order to install and register the new one. I bought it because its 5 licenses was a great value (on sale).
