Piece of Cake
I got this for a friend at work. His laptop only had one USB Port which was broken. Rather than replacing the motherboard I ordered one of these. Open package, insert card, point to CD for drivers, Done! Works! Piece of cake.

Excellent piece of hardware
I have an older Dell Lattitude laptop with a Pentium 4 and one USB port. I wanted more ports on the laptop, so I opted for this Sabrent pcmcia USB port adapter. It works great. I loaded the driver software, plugged it in and it recognized it. I'm currently running a keyboard and wifi internet off of it. So, this 15 yr old plus laptop lives on... I recommend it to anyone who just wants to keep their old laptop alive as long as they can. Once upon a time they sold PCMCIA adapters for the towers, so you could possibly use one these devices there too.

Not exactly as shown
The product I recieved didnt really look like the picture. The power for the unit goes in the side not the front and in which case blocks one of my USB ports on my laptop so I lose one to gain two. Not very impressed so needless to say I wont be using this unit very often.

POOR DESIGN - Broke almost immediately
The power port broke after a few uses at the base inside the unit. The unit is sealed and the break-off point is not accessible. Very disappointed.

Works great
This board works fine. Usual USB add-on weirdnesses but not their fault.

Very good Product
Easy plug & Play installation on my 4 year old laptop, with dual boot operating systems. Works equally well on Windows XP and Windows 7. I have had no issues with it.

Works fine on a Dell laptop
Recommended a friend purchase it when he accidentally fried his laptop USB ports with static electricity. At first he told me it didn't work. I tried it and it worked fine. The PCMCIA slot apparently doesn't provide enough power so the manufacturer requires the USB power cord to provide power. The laptop's USB data section was fried but power was fine. After installing the cord that came with the card, it worked fine, I could read my 2.5'' USB hard drive.
