Benefits and Features of the Iomega REV 35GB / 90GB** ATAPI Drive
The Iomega REV 35GB / 90GB** ATAPI internal drive is a revolutionary removable
hard disk system that fits in a 3.5" bay and is more efficient and reliable than
traditional tape systems, while providing portable, high-performance file storage.
Back up and restore up to 8 times faster than tape*, access files in seconds with
drag-and-drop, and secure your data with password protection and encryption. Included
Iomega Automatic Backup Pro software for “set-it and forget-it” file backups,
plus full system backup and fast disaster recovery with Norton Ghost™ for REV
Drive software.
Compared to traditional tape systems, REV drives and disks are up to eight times
faster*, more durable, easier to maintain, and provide random access to data.
Iomega REV disks are rated for over one million rewrites versus thousands for
tape. Random access allows an Iomega REV drive to act like a removable hard drive
for saving, transferring, and archiving large amounts of data at hard drive speeds
using simple drag-and-drop, something a tape drive cannot do. Iomega REV disks
have a 30-year shelf-life and require zero maintenance.
Because the sensitive heads and electronics are not in the REV disk cartridge,
Iomega REV disks are much more durable, smaller, and more portable, than current
portable hard drive technology. And buying additional disks for extra capacity
is more affordable than purchasing additional portable hard drives. Compared to
optical drives, Iomega REV technology is much faster and more reliable. Iomega
REV disks are not subject to scratching and other issues that cause data loss.
