Came with kit
I haven't had the noise issues others seem to be having. Was very glad it actually had the thermal compound already applied to it.

Bought out of Barebone kit
Pros: It's a fan and it does work and cool. Does what it's supposed to do. Cons: Very loud, mine sounds like it's got a playing card stuck in it. Pulled it apart and nothing was in it, it's just loud, I give it maybe a month before it burns out.

These fans are not the greatest
I've been through 2 of these in less then a year and after a few months, they just get crazy noisy and won't quiet down. The last one totally failed on me after a few weeks of the noise, so I quickly rigged another fan on the included heat-sink until a replacement could arrive. I ordered the same fan, because the alternative for me was a heat-pipe design, all they offer on TD right now. Should have known better, 3 weeks in, same bad bearing sound. If i bump the PC a little it will get quiet for a day or two then resume its noise. I'm pleased with the heat-sink, just have to find a better fan to bolt on to it. Thermaltake really doesn't do it for me lately :-(
