Stay Away

I purchased this for my mom, it was working great. Then out of no where dead and can not be returned. Would avoid this unit and get a computer connected to the tv. Or get a tv that accepts a usb drive.

Shipped it at the wrong place

They shipped the order at the wrong place, they did not know at all it was shipped at the wrong place. Took almost 3 weeks the get this product to my house.

Good player, supports analog output

I bought this because it does Netflix and supports analog output. I have been very happy with it. It plays my ripped movies in many formats, appears on my home network as a shared drive. My kids figured out the Netflix interface very quickly

Just what I was looking for!

I am very pleased with this unit. Links to my network easily. My whole Music, Video and Picture Library at my finger tips.

Slow, + Lot of crash

That's a nice piece of technologie , gigalan and 1tb hdd . It can read almost any video and audio files. Exactly what i need for my big Sony TV. The problem is ,the system is too slow and freeze or reboot himself many times... I expect a new firmare to fix those bug later. But for now im not please to use it. And i do not recomend to buy.

great sound quality and value

pretty easy to setup, love the free online radio stations, exellent CD quality sounds. use it alot for netflix and it downloads very fast, waiting to buy a second unit. the coolest thing i find is, u can connect via HDMI and still connect the optical analog audio output to a seperate unit and still deliver great sounds, absolutely love it.

Not Perfect But Almost

Install was very straightforward. Visible on all computers on network. Remote useable although needs improvement.

best thing you'll buy this year

I have no idea why anyone would have complaints about this product. it works absolutely flawlessly. It maps a drive to all your computers so all you have to do is throw files in there and they automatically save onto the 1TB hard drive. You can even plug your existing external hard drive onto it via usb and play movies, videos, music right from it. The Media Hub plays any file type, I have not come across anything it cannot play! New firmware updates are available monthly for new services. Forget streaming from your PS3, you need this product in your life.

Read description careful

Read the description very close. While I like it, it does have many short-coming. This item is the same as the cheaper $69 model except this has a 1 Tb hard drive in it. What the description does not say.......... You can not save anything to the hard drive from the Hub controls. You must hook it up to your computer (usb) and copy everything to it's hard drive. Netfle works, but you must already have an account with them. Also, the Hub throws a 'copywriter error code' when you try to save a Netflex movie to an external DVRecorder. None of my other other stuff throws these error codes. It says 'wireless capable '. You have to buy the extra wireless plug to use the wireless feature. You can not add apps to the unit. . The menu are fairly slow and it takes forever to copy a movie to the internal hard drive. If I had it to do over, I would get the $69 unit and just add a 2 Tb hard drive to it's usb port.
