If you own a battery factory !
I must have knocked the cpi button because first set of batteries lasted over two weeks , second set lasted not even 12 hours and those batteries were from the same pack.. Good mouse for basic browsing anything else I would pass on it ...

Great deal and product
I bought this optical wireless mouse with low expectations because of its price. I have been very pleasantly surprised because it was easy to install and use, works wonderfully and has more features than I expected. This was a great product at a great value!

Cheapest Mouse in the store
I'm not going to badmouth this mouse too much. I bought it at an even more reduced price (around $10). For the price it is a great mouse. Unfortunately $10 may just be too cheap for any mouse. There are small issues (responsiveness, etc.) that I expect in a cheap mouse. The thing that I did not expect was that the power switch would be non-functional. To get the optics to turn off you have to unplug the USB receiver. This is likely the reason that it goes through batteries so quickly. Also, if you take out and put back in the USB receiver multiple times it will likely only register about 50% of those, so you may have to give a few tries. Should probably pay the extra $10 and get a real mouse.

This could be a lemon
I should have know, but you get what you pay for. The cursor would respond like a wet noodle. I had tuned the mouse dynamics to my old mouse which worked quite well. This Gear Head performed very poorly. The instruction booklet is devoid of any instructions about what the side or top button are used for or to access the enhanced features. I surmised the top button was for switching to the higher DPI from a vague hint the battery indicator resides in the button. Its going back to the store tomorrow.
