Using in Afghanistan
Currently using two of these in Kabul, Afghanistan, works great, power outages are the norm here.

Just what I needed
Well so far. Power has not gone out yet. I think the outlets are a bit too close together - but nothing I could'nt get around. I am not, however, using the software. Nothing in the manual describes what the software will do for me. I don't want to run the software just to find out. Don't have the time.

Great item, I have 2 of these and some larger power rating ones from APC, I have one bk500 for 6 years now and it has yet to give me any problems, and with a double everything on that pc I have plenty of time to save and when it gets to about 10-20% Batt power left it sounds an audible beep if you don't set it up with the software, but with the software it even saves and closes your pc, APC is well known in the IT arena, from hospital use to that small SOHO, and has a great reputation along with the protection warranty of $75K for repair of any burnt pc's and other pc equipment hooked up to the unit. Some have even telephone wire protection, of RJ45 network protection also. JUST ALLOW A NEW UNIT TO CHARGE THE BATT FOR A DAY OR 2, AND AFTER A POWER OUT allow it a min of 6 hours to jst charge te battery to full.
