I purchased this on sale for about 15.00; great deal considering the base retail price. I use PP2010, and wanted P7 to see how the two programs compare. There are different funcionalities for each, and the differences between Poser and Studio is vast- but the fact that I now have this with my other programs gives me different options for my renders. Great deal for the price.

Great program but the extra isn't worth it

I bought the program thinking that I would be able to use the morphing as well but when I got the package it was just two disks wrapped in a box. Poser 7 works great as far as I can tell, I am going to take classes here on the 15th. bellegraphics she gives free classes on posers. I would like to use the program that comes with it but don't know how to get a hold of Smith Micro.

Character animation

I bought this as a gift for my daughter who is moving her artwork into digital media. I don't have personal experience with the product but online reviews were mostly positive. As it's an older version is it dirt cheap here. It's like a digital version of the little wooden anatomy figures. Useful as a visual aid in creating compositions with people. They have bones and joints to move around called rigging. You can also create characters of your own creation or from lists of body types, gender, hair, expressions, etc. These can be animated to walk or run by specifying start and stop locations on a grid. Examples of finished work can be found on popular video submission sites if you search for the product name. She makes entertainment videos and wants to include animations in her projects.

Always a favourite

Been using Poser since it was owned by Meta Creations, and Poser 7 is by far my favourite version to date. I also have Poser 2010, but Poser 7 renders much better, albeit not as quickly as the 64 bit P2010. I just purchased a second beast system, (and now a second copy of Poser 7), and have my machines 'Synergied' so that I can be running Poser 7 on both systems without having to worry about a serial check. :-) Thanks for the great price!

What animation?

This is an interesting program for the curious. It is disappointing if you purchased to convert photos to animation. It doesn't.

Worth it just for the models.

Even if you use Daz3d studio for free the models in this are well worth the price. Plus this has the hair studio that Daz does not even in the new Daz studio 4.

Great product for the price

Great software and price for this software. Product was purchased for my grand daughter which is working in video art grafics. She says it is a little complicated to learn and use, however is a good product.

Seems to missing

Pros: Poser does run under Windows 7 Cons: Seems like some of the functionality is missing as well as some of the core models from earlier version I had on Windows XP. Nice way to see if you wish to invest in a more recent version, but don't expect much.
