A nice CPU for a non-gamer.

I build this system for a non-gamer. I wanted enough power to last years and run anything they bought. I liked that the heat sink for the CPU already came with thermal paste on it. Saved me having to use my nicer arctic silver. I don't intend to overclock the CPU since they shouldn't be taxing the system that much. Also the temperatures for this CPU at stock are around 40-50F idle and 70-80F under load. Not bad seeing my house is 85F because I haven't turned on the AC all day.

I only like AMD chips and when I was looking for a new one and came upon this one, I read everything I could on it before purchasing it and I am glad I did. I have not had any problems with games, but I have not tried any heavy graphical games yet.

Excellent desktop processor

If you are not into games, and want a decent processor for every day tasks like office and web surfing, then this is perfect for you.

Awesome processor

Built a machine for my son with MSI A75MA-G55 and it works better than I expected. And at a good price too!. I am normally an Intel fan, but this FM processor is really good.

if using dvdfab software it takes 30 minutes, on my other 4core same memory takes 12 minutes.It is just to slow for math based programs also.

Plugged it in and it works

Using on a F1a75pro mobo. There was some initial problems on startup using the vga port with linux. Checked on some forums and it is a common problem with that combination. hdmi works fine. I'm not sure if it is a mobo, processor, or software issue, but that particular combo will give you trouble if vga is your only option.

Good product, some initial issues resolved

Hit a snag with this processor first time around with artifacts appearing in images and videos, had a hard time determining if it was the motherboard or the processor. sent me a replacement first for the motherboard and then for the processor without giving me a hard time and the issues went away, works great now. Great customer service!

Great Budget Processor

I'm using this processor in the Asus F1A75-M LE motherboard to upgrade an old computer and to run Windows 7 64 bit. This thing works great and it runs two monitors very well. System is fast and very quiet having only the CPU and power supply fans.

Excellent Performance, Value, and Human Factors

Put this processor in a GIGABYTE GA-A75M-UD2H to make a computer to run the Thinkorswim trading platform and three 1920x1200 monitors. With only 8GB on W7-64 the machine handles everything I can throw at it, and all at the same time. This includes the above plus video playback, Office 2010, browsers, and other tools. The built in graphics saved me the cost and slot of one (out of two) graphics cards. The BEST part of this CPU is the variable speed fan which keeps the thing QUIET and will probably result in much longer fan life and I hate changing fans! Unquestionably this is the quietest machine I have built. It's quiet, cool, fast, and a good value. I would use this product again.
