Didn't work with Win 7
With Windows 7 it would start to receive a fax then indicate an error. The phone line would remain as busy. Tried changing the settings with no improvements.

USB 3 Compatibility Problem
Granted that this is a USB 2.0 modem, but it should be compatible with a USB 3 port. On my Lenovo system it would only work on the USB 2.0 port. Otherwise, it works fine.

Nice little modem
I'm a telephone system tech and use dial up connections to a lot of my customers equipment. I needed an external modem as my new Dell laptop didn't have one built in. This little device works great, and even works well running an older application for dial up connections in Windows 7 XP mode. In fact, it works so well I bought one to use as a fax modem for my brother's small firm to eliminate the paper fax machine and it works great for that too.

Seamless
We bought a new HP form factor that didn't have a fax modem. We bought this product and are good to go. From the time I unpacked the box the device was installed, literally, within 30 seconds. The HP found the device and installed the software -- I didn't even need the CDRom that came with the device. A test fax established that the device was working, as represented. The price seemed a little steep, but time is money, and accomplishing installation in less than a minute, is always a good thing when dealing with a computer.
