After using a TomTom for years, I found I like this item much better! The lane assist is perfect. There were a few things that my husband liked a little better on TomTom, but for me this is perfect, and besides we are still learning all it will do.

Awesome unit but it did come a bit scratched up. NOT the screen just the body. Definately USED but worth the money and great size.

Works real well. Being refurbished, its still like brand new. Maps seem to be up to date. I love the larger screen. Price was well within my budget. Great GPS. Would recommend over Garmin, anytime. Especially for the price.

Paid for a rental

I bought this GPS back in late July 2012, and used it for about 5 months until the screen stopped functioning, and the GPS started shutting down randomly while in use. It also randomly shows me on streets that i'm not on while i'm driving. Overall, this was a waste of money, get a smaller and better GPS if you can.

Great GPS works fine this is my second GPS from magellan and so far I'm not complaining the lane assist & text-to-speech makes traveling a breeze. The 7' display makes viewing the GPS easy on the eyes when driving.

large display is best feature

This particular model must have obvious design flaws. I see this refurbished everywhere, for over a year now. There must have been problems with the majority of units sold. The major flaw being the battery, because this GPS has never held a charge. The one I received requires the provided vehicle power charger to be always connected. If the plug comes out it goes off. The units weight is a challenge for the poorly made mounting device. It never stays attached to a window or the plastic disc they provided for dash mounting. After about 15-20 minutes it loses it's grip and falls, which makes it unsafe because then you have to try and remount it, either while driving, or stopping on the side of the expressway. My vehicle power charger plug now loses connectivity. The power supply socket must have been misshaped when the unit fell from the dash. Other than the above and (annoying fast, repetitive exit reminders, with complete details given), the map is decent.
