Didn't install
The CD for install must be bad and the on-line download didn't work either. Forget it! It's not worth the effort anymore..........

Works pretty well
I installed this on my Windows 7 64 bit Acer laptop. First I just plugged in the dongle (which is not what you are supposed to do), and it got an error trying to install. Big surprise! So, then I unplugged it and inserted the disk (that came with it) and installed the software. After reboot, I plugged in the Dongle and was able to pair it with my Belkin headset (which is really attached to the aux input of my stereo). It was easy to pair and works pretty well except I was getting some sound dropout. At first, I thought the dropout was because the computer was too busy, but I now think that there was interference from my hand which was on the pc near the dongle. I repositioned a little and it went away. I also tried moving my laptop away to see how far it would work. It seemed to be OK to about 30 feet, (similar performance to my Iphone). Overall, I'm very happy with it.

Will Not Work on Dell Inspiron with Windows 7
Purchased two of these ASUS USB-BT211 Bluetooth Dongles. Have tried over and over again to install these on two different laptops. They will install but when computer is rebooted they will not come back up. Have contacted tech support 2 different times but there solutions have not worked. I give up.

a bit unusual for ASUS
i never had problems with their notebooks, so i gave this BT adapter a try. it works, but takes a long time to pair with my headsets, etc. not sure if the drivers are defective (as they are in beta). maybe an update would fix this, as of right now still not acceptable.

Simple and effective
I have a phone that will only transfer photos via bluetooth. The BT211 installed effortlessly (Windows 7 x64), and does what I bought it for. I haven't tested the range. That is the only reason I didn't give it five starts for performance.

Good Test
Used it as a product test to see how it works, it works ok until you get to the distance advertised. It says 100 meters around 1 football field, well I got 15 feet open and 8 feet through a wall, as you see not even close. I was expecting 30 ft anyway but fell a little short!!!!
