Not what I expected

This modem shows hundred of errors on the receiving end of a download over any hour or two. My Zoom showed only one or two errors per hour. I also can't easily use a serial switch when using two computers with this modem. If both machines are booted, and I download to one of them, I can't switch to the other computer and download by changing the serial switch. The second machine must be turned off completely and restarted before Windows XP will recognize this modem. This never happened with Zoom equipment.

Great product

The modem work great with Windows XP et Windows 7, it's a well made product, with lot of protections against power surges. The software deliver with the modem is also very good. His bad side, it's the serial interface, so we need to rely on a USB to serial adapter to plug it on newer model computer. The one substracted from

Works with Ubuntu 9.10

On Ubuntu 9.10 it works Great, Just use the cord that comes with and install the ppp dial program for ubuntu, No need to buy a usb adapter.

Excately what we needed

I bought this to replace a USR business modem on our server. It is a backup for credit card processing should the internet go down. Installed on MS SBS 2003 without a hitch. Drivers installed easily and pc-charge recognized it right away and test good. Much less expensive then the $250 or so to replace the USR and does just as well a job.

Quick Service - good product

I purchased this modem to operate a TTY software program for the hearing impaired. The modem hooked up and the driver loaded easily and it works without a hitch.

FINALLY A Voice Modem compatible with Windows7!

I've tried 4 (2 internal, and 2 external) Voice Modems with my Windows 7 system. This is the FIRST one that WORKS with Windows 7. I use it to allow our computer to answer the telephone at our house, and take messages. IT works beautifully!

I got this modem to replace a 7yr old modem blaster. I am very happy with it so far. My download speed has gone from 28.8 to 32.0 just by hooking up this modem. No highspeed in the area so I'm stuck with dialup. The install of the cables was a liitle confusing. But I was able to figure it out with no help from the instruction book. There is no guide for the meaning of all the lights on the front of the unit. As long as it does its job no big deal about the lights. I would buy it again all said.

This is the best hardware modem I have ever had the pleasure of using. It even beats my USR Courier v.everythhing v.everywhere across the board in Windows 2000/XP and seven distrobutions of Linux so far! Flawless design and speed, true 56K speeds. I would recommend this modem to anyone, whether on dialup, or as a backup in case thier DSL or Cable fails. Trendware definitely delivers!

Tried it with SBS 2003 Fax services. Trendware Support stated that it should work, but was unable to get it to receive faxes 100% of the time completely. Fax Services would report that it got all pages but drop 1 or two pages and had extremely slow fax connection speeds. The worst part was the sender would get a comformation that the fax was received completely. Replaced with an internal USR fax/modem and have not had any further issues. Trendware support did do a great job and gets an A+ for effort and follow-up.
