Not quite what I expected
For the price, I'm a little disappointed with the sound quality. The surround is OK, but my cheaper Sony headphones sound better and hit with more bass. The Corsair HS1 doesn't have quite the range, and the lows are a little muddy.

picked over the pc 161's
Bought the corsair and the pc161's and decided to keep the corsair headset. I like the build, the feel, and the design. The headset looks very sturdy, even a bit sturdier than was shown in the video provided by corsair. the wire is lined with a durable feeling nylon versus the traditional rubber.. and I like it quite a bit. I haven't had time to wear them for a long period of time but they don't feel too heavy considering the large 50mm drivers and heavy-duty design. Hopefully they last a while.. my last creative labs headset that was only $30 lasted over a year!

Very Comfy, good sound, VERY FRAGILE
These were very comfortable, had great sound and were easy to set up. They lasted less than 1 month. Wire is incredibly fragile, when sound cut off I found that wire was loose at control box, had to open it expecting to splice one of the wires -- no way the wires in this thing make human hair look gigantic. VERY FRAGILE wires.

Love my new cans
Got these for Christmas. Love them. Never used headphones for gaming before and they have upped my game in Black Ops. The surround sound can't match a good set of 7.1 speakers, but it is a heck of a lot better than the 10 year old Altec Lansing ADA-305 2.1 speakers I've been using for gaming. They are light and very comfortable, but one less star on quality for using too much plastic. One less star on value also on value: I think they could be less expensive for the materials used. I would recommend them over any other gaming headset selling for the same price or less.

be careful of these, they're easy to break
Be careful of the cord, it got tangled up on my chair and I barley pulled on it and it broke from the volume control side easily. I have to get another one now. I've own many different headsets and none of them ever broke on me which is pretty sad for corsair. Sound quality isn't really good for gaming but good for music. When I play conviction and someone is talking it sounds like it's coming from behind me while the person is really in front of me. I really don't think the price is worth it for these, they didn't put enough effort into them. Corsair really put me down.
