This Drive Delivers!
This is my first purchase of any BR-D writer and I choose this brand due to their good history of quality hardware over the years. This drive is fast and looks sharp. Its a bit bulky so have some space ready for it. Installation was a snap and my first project burned with Adobe Encore was trouble free. I purchased Verbatim Media by the way. The only downside was the quality of the eject button. I have to push it a few times to make the drive open and it feels loose. Its a little more expensive than the other drives out there but its worth it and you can't beat the portability, not to mention its one less drive to load down my PC power supply.

A GOOD+ PRODUCT
VERY EXPENSIVE. PERFORMS VERY WELL ONCE YOU FIGURE OUT HOW TO USE THE VERY CONVOLUTED CONFUSING SOFTWARE. IT'S ASUS, HOPEFULLY YOU WILL NEVER HAVE ANY PROBLEMS.

So far so Good
Haven't had a lot of time to really put the drive to the test yet. Win7,8, and xp saw the drive without a hassle. Burned data and currently have no coasters. Tried to burn one of my bluray movies, seems like it needs to connect to the internet to allow reading of movie? Ciber cop must be watching! So far so good, will update later with additional details.

Great burner
Have 3 different Asus Blu ray burners , this is one of the fastest , just wish it had lightscribe like the BW-12B1LT , no bad burns yet , burns faster than some discs are rated at .One thing is it gets hot when burning a disc , much more so than my other drives , the disc comes out toasty warm .

Simple & Fast
The unit is so simple to set up that it almost catches you off-guard. Plug it in and turn it on, that's pretty much it. One disappointment for me was the lack of support software. I had read in an earlier review that it came with a really great software bundle, mine did not. All I got was a system update disc that had a broken link to an Asus online update. When I tried to negotiate the site I got caught in so many loops that I finally just gave up. The unit works fine anyway, so I didn't need to go thru the hassle. Even with that glitch, I still recommend this unit -- a great BluRay solution at a good price.

Best Product and Deal Ever!
I bought this due to my laptop burner stopped working and it costs over $300 to replace with a factory unit. This burner is excelent,and very fast. I am glad I didn't buy a factory unit. This is much better. Better price and performance.

So far so good
This Blu-Ray Burner is fast. I already made 4 Blu-Ray data disc and each one burned faster than the advertise speed of the Disc.
