Nice product but Hard to set up

I consider myself to be tech savvy but this one was a pain in the but to set up. I still can't seem to get the outdoor thermometer working properly but all other features and functions work well once tied to the web properly. I have had other Lacrosse products but this one was by far the trickiest. Way too complex for weather. However, it does seem to predict the weather most of the time!

Too complicated to setup

This weather is very complicated to setup. Even if I connect the product to my router using the Ethernet cable, it does nothing after following the steps on the box. I am still unable to setup.

Really hard to setup. You have to be sure that you have INTERNET. You can't set it up with out Internet.

unreliable

Found the product very difficult to setup properly. Temperature gauge never worked at all. Randomly flipped between C and F (i don't know F at all). Very unreliable at updating. I would also expect more from a dedicated service, this is all they do!

Great deal!

The only problem I had was when the base station was located too close to the server. The outside temperature unit works far better than any of my other units through several walls and rooms. Probably will buy another one for my cabin!

Nice Low Cost Weather Station

I paid $15.99 for this unit and $2.68 for the shipping. I folowed the instuctions and had no trouble setting up the unit. I had to wait for the server to process all the information and the outside sensor to start working. I have found the unit very helpful and enjoy the talk button to listen to the 3 day forcast. I also like that you can program it with your own personal greeting. I did not purchase any of the advanced features but I am using the free year of severe weather updates. This is a nice low cost unit. Don't forget you must purchase 2 C batteries for the main unit and 2 AA bateries for your outside sensor(batteries not included).

Nice but not reliable

Setup is not complicated if you follow the instructions TO THE LETTER. You cannot skip any steps or go it alone because you know everything. Follow the instructions and it will configure well. PROS. I do like the current info and forecast that is displayed on the unit. It is easy to read. I usually glance at it as I am leaving the house to see what the day is going to be like. CONS. It does not seem to be very reliable at keeping updated. Mine has lost communication numerous times and the forecast goes blank. I have to press and hold the right button to force it to update. It updated well when I first got it. But after three months it does not stay updated very reliably. OVERALL. For the price, it is okay when it works. It is nice to have the weather info without powering on a computer. But if you really need something reliable nothing beats just going to your computer and looking at your favorite weather site. I expected more from a dedicated device.

bought one each for my 2 college kids so they would be able to know the temperatures. very difficult to set up. too many steps and a long process so my kids gave up. they really needed a forecaster that was already programmed, therefore i should have spent more money.
