Sony Media Player

Easy set-up thru ethernet connection. Couldnt connect thru wi-fi because my secure connection needs capital letters in it and this remote doesnt have that capability. Other than that issue this works great and streams video perfectly thru hdmi. Well worth the 50 bucks. Makes my 3D tv even better. Very satitisfied.

Excellent Product

This is an excellent product for $49.99. I was able to watch my Netflix movies through this system. The setup was a bit cumbersome as I had to go through Sony to setup the web account. After setting up, the system has worked bautifully. Picture clarity is great. Program selection process is good but could use some improvement.

Awesome Product!

Have this running wireless through my Netgear N600 wireless router and works great. I would recommend this to anyone looking to get rid of cable. Netflix works good on it plus it has a ton of free channels too. I just got another update yesterday for more media. I also have my 500gb external drive hooked up to it and it finds my music without a hitch. only complaint is that it has no rear usb, only a front one.

Impeccable!

I bought this wifi media player to stream movies from my monthly subscription directly to my tv, a digital tube tv. So, I connected the cables to my VCR, that's connected to the tv and analog home theater sound system. Then I setup the software & websites per the Owners Manual, it was not quick but can only be done so many ways. Now I can have tv without commercials when I've had enough. NEAT!

Not Bad but interface a problem

I have the Western Digital TV plus, The Logitec Revue, the Sony and Apple TV boxes. The best in my opion is the Western digital for media playing and interface as it gives you the option of displaying an thumbnail image of the movie which makes it quicker to select a movie. The sony does not provide that feature and it doesn't have search capability for large media libraies. The Sony has an excellent web app selection and it beats all other boxes for that function. The Apple TV is the worst as if you want to get to media onyour networt you have to use their Itunes. I'm happy with the Sony for the price but the WD box is a better choice for me. Also I had a ROKU box and that went back the same day I got it.
