Works as advertised
This router worked well for most of the purposes I had intended. It did not give the speed increase I was looking for, however that might be environmental and not related to the product. It seems to do the dual band thing quite well.

Not Bad at All
Honestly I looked at all kinds of wireless Routers here and every one had some horrible reviews. My experience with this one is pretty good. It was easy to set-up and I have no problem being all the way across the house and being online. The Dual band is key and I would recommend that to anyone. Only issue I've run in to is I have to power cycle occasionally for some reason. Overall, Good Buy!!!

Features did not work as specified
Unfortunately, this router had firmware that did not support creating routes to my VPN to the office and did not pass L2TP protocol, both of which were expected. Unacceptable. On-line documentation and documentation with the router did not match, and neither matched the router's interface. This was truly disappointing.

Poor performance
I bought this router in April 2009. The installation was relativley easy. In the six weeks I ahve been using it the router has dropped off line or quit working three times. After a reboot it works fine.

Get what you pay for!
Dissapointing range. No improvement from old g-wifi-dsl router, very spotty reception with 5.0 ghz band, may return it.

I like the dual band router, but it needs tobe reset always. I think I need to upgrade the firmware to 1.01 or???

Great price..easy set up
Finally went wireless and bought the DIR-815. Easy to install and works great. Love the dual band for my iPad,computer and iPhone. Even set up my new tv on wireless. Can,t beat the price.

Good router, great deal!
Bought this router to set up wireless in my apartment and it works great, good coverage and easy to set up. This a great piece of hardware if you're looking for a decent-priced, dual-band router.
