My wireless router is on my top floor and I have a computer in the opposite corner basement. This product got me the connection needed. Works as advertised and simple to setup. Bought two kits.

Replaced wireless network

Product works well. I was able to replace my wireless network with a wired network. Now I can put my laptop on my lap and still have children.

Works great for extending networks

I have a couple of rooms that my WiFi doesn't reach. This worked great to give coverage to those spots. I would recommend purchasing it.

Works well, easy to setup

I'm getting 147-168 Mbs as measured through the WD utility after going 2 floors down to the basement.

Terrific!

Great performance. Use it with my Tivo, 3D Blu-ray player and HDTV. Much faster than Tivo's wireless USB to ethernet connector supplied ONLY from Tivo, a HUGE waste of money. These units are versitile, user friendly, have 7 output and 1 input connection(4 each). Trouble and hassle FREE!

WD Powerline Ready for Primetime

Tried to introduce powerline into my home network in 2004 to stream audio. But never could get a consistant stream, and WI-Fi drops the stream about every 7 minutes on my Squeeze Box. Purchased WD Powerline and had it up and running in under 5 minutes. Now I can stream for a 6 hour party without dropping the stream. Next stop, will connect my smart tv and WD Live to another WD Powerline. All thats needed now is for WD to do a major price cut to make migration more attractive. Excellent product!!!!!!!!!!!

Maybe not so much for home use.

If reliability and performance are equal priorities to anyone, then this group might not be for home use. Small business versions of this hardware configuration and others tend to be more reliable with high performance defaults.

Streams 1080p with no drop

Works super fast just watch a 1080p movie streaming from my computer to my WD TV Live Plus with absolutely no lag!!! it's just that good!!

simply awesome

absolutely love it. was thinking of running wire through the basement ceilling until i saw it, it soo easy to set up, basically plug one at source and the other unit at where its needed. simply awesome, wish it was arround the 40 dollar range though..lol

Excellent item-plug it in and it works

I bought this to connect my WD Live Plus media player (another gem) to the internet. The router is on the second floor and the TV is on the first floor of a 1994 two-storey. Just plugged the units in and they work. Great speed too. I also use them in a 1964 built house. No problem at all. A little slower, but still way better than wireless.
