Works ok

I installed this as directed and a have received mixed results. First off, I wish I had listened to other reviews that reccomended upgrading the cable from the start. The one that it comes with is a little thin considering the price of this kit. As for my signal.. Overall it does boost it, but I notice it rise and fall radomlly like a wave. One minute I have 4-5 bars and then without moving it drops to 1-3 bars. My antena is outside on the roof in the best signal location available, so I know its not because its blocked by a wall or something. Overall better signal than what I had before, just wish it was more stable.

I had a marginal signal in my basement recreation room. The zBoost YH545 defineitely helped. Take your phone to the highest point where your antenna will be located. I had 1 to 2 bars there and 1 bar in the basement. Now I still have 1 to 2 bars in the basement but I no longer get complaints from people on the other side of my conversations. Don't expect expect miracles, but you can expect an improvement in rural settings where you might be on the fringe of a cell towers range.

Installed to boost signal in a steel modular office. It works fine and does the job.

Best Product and Deal!

I've bought two of these. The first was destroyed by a lightening strike, and I wouldn't have it replaced by anything else. I live centered between two cell towers, and could drop a call moving from room to room. That no longer happened after getting the first one, and it's no longer happening now!

I've ordered many of these (close to 10)

Over the past few years I've ordered close to 10 of these for the company I work for. We have multiple locations that have poor to zero cell phone reception in our control rooms (metal buildings) located through out the South East US. We run the cable outside, up high where we can get a decent (2-3 bars) signal, mount the antenna, and plug it in. 4 Bars everywhere! One word of caution. If you have zero bars at the antenna, zero x 4 is still zero. You must have at least a weak signal at the antenna, and the farther away you place the antenna from the base unit the better.

No More Canadian Roaming Charges

We have a cottage on Lake Superior and would constantly get roaming charges from Canada (about 15 miles across the bay) due to a poor Verizon signal there. After my last arguement with Verizon on the charges I decided to give this unit a try. Installed the main antenna at the best reception point in the cottage (near the roof inside - 1 to 2 bars at best) and within 10' of the base unit we now get at least 3 bars and usually 4 to 5. No more roaming fees.

Works good in low signal area

I have a blackberry that was barely getting a signal, I would have to step outside to get 2 bars, since I installed this unit in my home, I have increased my signal 3-5 bars throughout most of my home.

It does help my reception

The product does work, however I had hoped for a greater improvement. I replaced the RG59 cable with RG6 and have the antenna outside above the roof. I originally had 3 bars or less inside the house, now with the zBoost I have at least 3 bars everywhere and 4 or 5 in most rooms.

Works Well

Installed this at my cottage to boost poor cell reception in the building. I had 3 bars where I installed the antenna. It did improve reception in the building. Signal is stronger where it was weak before. Now recieve signal in rooms where I did not get reception before. Simple and easy to install.
