This faxboard does exactly what it's supposed to do. What else do you want?

Does what I needed it to do.

Wanting to maintain faxing capability with my new Intel i5, Windows 7 PC, I had to purchase a PCIe faxmodem. USR modems have been my first choice in the past, and this one continues to exceed my expectations. Installation was a snap and performance is quick and efficient at faxing speeds. Cannot comment on other features, but as a faxmodem, it seems to excel.

it was the wrong part

I did ask for help with the on line person but they gave me the wrong part number,so it is hard to score this modem but like this company they sent the right one with 1 phone call and they paid to ship the 1st one back,now you can not ask for anything more then that! And the person that made a mistake with the wrong part,well we all make mistakes now and then but the important thing is this company stood behind the part and took care of it with no questions asked!!

Does the Job for me

We need a hardware modem to use a terminal program to submit our billings. We have small form factor backup computer. This modem fits in the half height slot with the brackte nicely. Works fine with windows 7 and hyperterminal program. A little expensive but I would consider it a niche product.

Works Well

I have a need to fax directly from my computer. The computer manufacturer does not offer a fax modem. The USRobotics modem was very easy to install and worked well immediately.

Won't Do Caller ID Properly

This modem claims caller id capability but won't communicate properly with popular caller id software. I suspect this is due to poor TAPI compliance. US robotics is not owning up to the problem and have been very stubborn in their lack of assistance. My rating of 2 on features is based on the fact that TAPI does not work.

Faxmodem - A-OK

Have only had a few chances to use this modem (all for FAX) but it has (so far) performed without a single glitch. Was able to install it in the PCI Express X16 Graphics connector (thus not committing the other two PCIE slots) without complaint and Win 7 found it immediately. Wish the modem offered audio output to the PC so I could 'monitor' on-line activity, and would have been nice if a PHONE jack has been installed, rather than JUST a LINE jack. Exactly what I needed

Delivery was prompt. Installaton dead easy. Works perfectly.

wish it had a phone line out so you can add a phone,need to use a spliter for phone use.

Good modem, but...

Works fine, however, there is no passthrough for a downline fxmachine or teleph. Must use a Y adapter on phone line if you want a paper fax machine or phone on the line too. Recieves all faxes fine with software. Kind of expensive, for no more than it is. However, driver will work with all versions of wins. Works nicely in express slot.
