I too thought this was an external drive,
This does not work and it is not what i wanted . I am happy that It was so cheap, so I will just chuck it!

hard to understand product
I bought this product thinking it was a external CD drive. I was disappointed when i got it though. my fault i guess,but, i read it multiple times. it would have been nice if they could clarify the product better

Great case
Great case, worked fantastic. The usb cable was not what I expected. The extra usb plug gets in the way and was a little short. But I replaced it with a spare usb cable I had and it worked just fine.
