Sangean makes good radios.

I've been happy with all of the Sangean radios I've owned (a total of 4) over the years, and this CL-100 WX radio is no exception. It has solid build quality, very good sound quality, and is easy enough to program for your area and the hazards you're concerned about. (You'll probably want to keep the manual handy, though, since there are a good number of settings that can be tweaked.)

Very Impressive Weather Radio

Price was fantastic. Radio is well worth the money and then some. Easy to use, good directions and great performance. I strongly recommend the Sangean CL-100. It is a win win situation. Quality product at a great price.

Easy to setup and use

Instructions were straight forward but also intuitive on the set up. Display is easy to read. Alarm clock function is also easy to use. It performs as advertised with weather warnings that are quickly customizable to your location and needs.

Quality & Performance but poor battery life

I am very impressed with this product. As with other reviews; the quality, performance and value are outstanding. It was purchased to use in motorhome and during weather emergencies. Digital functions are easy to figure out and manipulate. The CL-100 allows me to plug in my satellite tuner and likely. A minor issue as mentioned is the readability of the 'screen'. Given the angle and the dimming function, it can be hard to see. THIS UNIT OFFERS PLUG-IN, BATTERY AND 6 VOLT POWER INPUT. The best Weather Radio on the Market today.

I have tried a couple of weather radio's in the past but I had to return them because they don't give a kick when there is bad weather in my area. For example the tornado alarm goes off, the weather radio did not response. The Sangean CL-100 alarms whenever there is some bad weather in the area issued by the weather station. The radio is easy to setup, and also to customize, such as expanding certain warnings (up to 5) or remove them if they don't apply for the area. This radio has also an option when the radio signal is weak to connect an external antenna. The clock settings are done whenever there is a RDS radio channel to synchronize the clock. This can be important when the weather service starts an event and expires the event. Finally the FM radio sound is amazing, although it is not stereo, this radio can be used on the background. Overall a good investment

Quality Product

The Sangean CL-100 is a well built product with many options. I set the SAME codes prior to a thunder storm. It was simple and straight forward to do. When the thunder storm hit, the alerts went off with the weather station coming on giving alert information. The Sangean CL-100 is also a very compact and attractive unit.

GREAT COMPACT RADIO

I needed a WX radio with AM FM that was a good size to fit on my nightstand and this one is perfect. It has only come on (so far) for the weekly test. I had an old one that came on repeatedly during storms and it drove me crazy at night. With this you can set ONLY the counties you want to hear and ONLY the messages you want to hear, and THAT'S GREAT!! Lots of bells and whistles here. Buy it you'll love it.
