An excellent modem
USRobotics is a well-known, long-time leader in external modems. When I purchased this modem, I knew I was getting a reliable, versatile, well-designed product. Flash upgrading the firmware is easy. You will need to get a serial cable, as one isn't included in the package.

Best Modem Available
Having used USR modems for 15 plus years they have always functioned properly. Life in the wilds with no broadband or cable, these are the best.

worked as expected
product documentation was weak. Had some problems during set up and setting the dip switches to our needs. But once set up it works perfectly. Would recommend this product.

Gets the job done nicely
For what we use this device to it does an amazing job. It is a device we use in case of emergency or when we need to do some distant change and it always works quickly and as well as it did right out of the box.
