It is basic and it is HP
As stated in previous reviews, the price is a little high for a port replicator. I was hoping also for a more conventional desk top docking station; but, it should still make docking and undocking with several accessories a lot easier.

Functional & convenient
There's not a lot to say about a port replicator. I have an HP 620 laptop and this port replicator allows me to use my DVI monitor - and uncouple for travel very easily. I wish HP had an external power button so that I wouldn't have to leave the laptop opened when docked - but that doesn't reflect on this product. Setup was simple and easy. It could have been priced better - but HP knows that assured capability is something many of us will pay a small premium for.

Works ok
This works as advertised but I had to buy a $6 video connector. There seems to be a lag in video catching up sometimes, but it's fine for work as I'm not watching movies. Worth the money to clear up several cords. Needed more USB ports.
