Lasted 22 months
Purchased Aug 2010 for my wife. Minimal daily use, no stress at all. The display (suspect video adapter) died yesterday. Of course it's past the 12 month warranty, but this laptop should have lasted much longer. I guess it no longer pays to try and buy quality so we'll go with cheap disposable for her next one.

A great buy.
I purchased this unit for a replacement for my Y530 which was water damaged. Out of the box, this unit performed great. I loved my Y530 and I know I will love this Y560 as well. The speed is great. There is no waiting on this unit.

Great value for a great laptop
This laptop is an amazing deal for only $800. The graphics are great and it runs games smoothly. You won't be able to find another i7 for a price this low. I would suggest this laptop to anyone.

first impression 3 months
I just got this in 3 months ago and after opening the nicely packaged machine, my first thought was. Gee is this a Lenovo or a H? Kind of a glossy design that you could possibly get used to, and the lack of a lid latch was of immediate note but the hinges seem tight enough to open and close the screen lid securely. The high gloss finish and the color integration was noteworthy and the keys seem a lot smoother than I had on my t-series. T and R series are built like a working laptop should. Well, without charging it out of the box, I fired this puppy up and through the glossy glare of the outdoors came the sharpest image I have ever noted on a IBM. Wow it was really sharp! The contrast and the color worked well in the shaded area I was sitting but the heat gushing out of the upper right corner of the machine reminded me that this processor was no ordinary centrino from days past. Works well on FSX! later!

Fast, Fair Price
Fast, Wireless connects flawlwssly, Sounds good, Upgraded to Pro, Facial Recog work, Beautiful Screen, Short battery life (2.5 hrs), tweaked power settings, Auto screen dimmer a pain turned off, this unit shrinks a dvd faster than my dual xeon servers, thin, light in weight. Comes with 120w pwr supply, 160w car pwr inverter insufficient to power it. I use a hardwired 400w inverter in the car. That works great. OS reports 8 cores (4 hyperthreaded). Pleasent to work on, never wait for anything to happen. Very pleased with price value. 899+4.78 sh
