I'm really enjoying the time-lapse, negative image and the great video quality. I am a bit disappointed in the sound quality - has some white noise in the background - and there is not a jack to add an external mic. Also be aware that editing an HD movie will require a newer computer.
Overall, a good purchase, I would buy again. |

This was purchased as I didn't want to risk my AG-HMC40 getting damaged.
The audio is pretty awful,really needs an external mic input.
What do want for the price?
The video looks pretty darn good though.
I mounted it to my motorcycle handlebars and shook pretty good.(need to make a better mount)
But,I'm quite happy with it! |

This camcorder is more than I could ask for given the price. There are definitely better camcorders our there but you will be paying double. I have not had any problems with it. The touch screen works great. The image stabilization could definitely be better, but for $179, it is ridiculous. Image stabilization does not work at 1080, but does for other settings. I've set it on a tripod for 1080 and it is fine. I checked out lots of video recorders (including pocket camcorders like the Flip camcorder) and there is nothing close to this for the money. |

The cam is defiantly worth $180, free shipping & no tax. Brilliant color & easy to use. The bad is the avi format & touchscreen disapears in any kind of light. Some of the best software does not work with this native avi format, so you have to convert. The boxed software is ok but will frustrate you. The end of the month deal was superb as usual. |

No battery availiable in the US, battery goes dry very fast and HD fulls memory in a snap.
Not a good buy. |
