Last time I ever order from here. Unit I received was used and repackaged but they sold as new. Unit itself disconnects randomly from the server even when running off USB, probably why it was returned the first time.

Excellent product!

My Squeezebox Classic was dying after many years of service. Couldn't find anything else on the market that did the same. The Touch worked out better than my old SB Classic. Very happy with product.

Great product.. lousy retailer

The product itself seems to be good and works as expected. What I don't appreciate is getting a returned product that had parts (audio cable) missing. The product was already set up for someone elses network and was registered to someone elses account. this is unacceptable and won't be shopping here any further.

Works great

We're using the Squeezebox Touch in an office for our music on hold. So far, it works great! I bought it specifically because of the network capability as well as the option to allow us to go between internet radio, music stored on a local PC, or go off a memory stick. I'm using it with the RCA to phono cable, and the sound is just fine for the phone. We're also using the Logitech Media Server which I control from my PC. The whole system was really easy to install, and the Media Server via web browser makes it super easy to control the settings. Would recommend this product, and would buy for myself if I had the personal need for it.

Excellent audio appliance!

The Touch is an outstanding piece of kit for serious music lovers. The Squeezebox line of products centers around a free server application that is used to stream your digital music library from your computer to the Squeezebox player to your stereo system, via ethernet or wifi. Audiophiles use lossless files (ripped from CDs or downloaded) for optimum quality, but it works just as well with generic MP3s. Players like the Touch manage the music stream and convert the digital signal to analog for input into stereo equipment. In effect, it replaces a CD player, but has much higher quality processing than most consumer CD players. Results in simply excellent sound. And you can get internet radio, too!

One of the best music player

This is an excellent product with a lot of possibilities. I used previously a WD live to stream my music in my office, but this is a more interesting concept if you want you can easily configure a small server (I used linux) to centralized your music on a server. The User interface is easy to use. The pre-programmed radio stations are very convenient. The connectivity is great. Some people add a DAC to it for Hi-Fi usage. I personally prefer the sound of a Tube pre-amp. A great buy. No regrets.

Bought a Squeezebox Touch

I have used a Squeezebox Classic and a Transporter for several years since the days when they were made by the original creators and I've been loving them. The Classic recently died so I had to replace it. I chose the Touch thinking I would miss my classic player. Not the case, the Touch is even better, sounds great and the display is fantastic. I'm loving this even more.

Works well with stereo system

It was a easy installation. I connected it to my pre-amp's AUX port. Turned it on and entered my wireless' network code (via touch screen!). It immediately downloaded updated software. I assume that when software updates are available that they will be automatically downloaded too. I use the Squeezebox Touch primarily for internet radio through my stereo system. I have not tried the server software. There are many default radio stations from throughout the world with differing musical styles. There is a radio station search feature for those stations not listed in the menus. Linking to Pandora (and Pandora premium) was easy. The sound through my component stereo system was excellent.

Squeezebox Touch

This unit does a great job at all it does, which is a lot. I use the free server software on my laptop to manage flac files that were ripped using Media Monkey as well as the streaming radio. The convenience is good, and I'm surprised to say that the sound quality is great. The streaming radio's quality is only as good as the source, but there are many very good free radio sites available. An excellent product that I've thoroughly enjoyed using.
