Better then the built in speaker of the 3790 but..
It is an improvement over the built in speaker of the 3790 which is really bad but it is still not as good as I would like to hear. That being said if it is your only option to get better sound quality you will want one. I also have a 265WT and it's sound is much better than the built in 3790 speaker or the speaker in this mount, so that is what I am comparing it to. My 3790 is a BMW branded 3790 for my 328i and is hard wired through the vehicle to play through the car speakers, that is by far the best sound option. I needed this so when I travel I can use it in rental cars.
